Terms & Conditions – Pawtags NZ

By placing an order with PawTags NZ, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

1. Custom Orders

All Pawtags NZ products are custom-made and personalised according to the information you provide at the time of ordering.

Please carefully check all spelling, phone numbers, names, addresses, and other details before confirming your order. We work quickly to complete orders, often within 24 hours, and cannot be held responsible for any errors, omissions, or incorrect information supplied by the customer.

If a replacement tag is required due to customer-supplied errors, a new order and payment may be required.

2. Materials & Engraving Methods

Pawtags NZ offers tags made from various materials and engraving methods, including but not limited to:

• Sublimation tags made from aluminium.

• Laser engraved tags made from stainless steel or aluminium.

Each material and engraving method has different characteristics, durability, appearance, and wear patterns.

Colours, finishes, engraving visibility, and lifespan may vary between materials and products.

3. Turnaround Time

Most orders are completed within 24 hours; however, turnaround times may vary during busy periods, public holidays, equipment maintenance, supply delays, or unforeseen circumstances.

Estimated completion times are not guaranteed.

4. Payment

Payment may be made via online bank transfer, invoice, afterpay, or any other payment methods approved by Pawtags NZ.

Full payment is required before any order is shipped or released unless otherwise agreed.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Pawtags NZ uses third-party courier and postal services, including NZ Post.

Once an item has been shipped, responsibility for delivery times, delays, loss, theft, or damage during transit rests with the carrier.

While we will assist where possible with tracking enquiries, Pawtags NZ cannot guarantee delivery dates and is not liable for courier-related delays or issues beyond our control.

6. Product Use, Wear & Lifespan

Pet tags are subject to varying levels of wear and tear depending on:

• Your pet's activity level.

• Lifestyle and environment.

• Exposure to water, sand, dirt, chemicals, saltwater, or rough surfaces.

• Collar type and fit.

• Whether multiple tags are worn together.

• Attachment hardware used.

Natural scratching, fading, dents, surface marks, engraving wear, colour changes, coating wear, and general deterioration over time are considered normal use and are not manufacturing defects.

Pawtags NZ does not guarantee that any tag will remain scratch-free, fade-free, or readable indefinitely.

We strongly recommend that tags are not worn together with other tags, keys, charms, or metal accessories, as this may significantly increase scratching, wear, and damage.

7. Split Rings, Attachments & Hardware

Different tag styles may be supplied with different attachment methods, including various split rings, jump rings, clips, or other hardware.

The longevity and performance of attachment hardware will vary depending on your pet's size, activity level, behaviour, environment, and use.

Customers are responsible for regularly checking that tags and attachment hardware remain secure.

Pawtags NZ accepts no liability for lost tags resulting from normal wear, improper attachment, damaged collars, hardware failure through use, or failure to inspect and maintain attachments.

8. Accuracy of Information

Customers are solely responsible for ensuring all contact details are correct.

Pawtags NZ is not responsible for consequences arising from incorrect phone numbers, addresses, names, or other information supplied by the customer.

9. Refunds & Returns

Due to the personalised nature of our products, refunds, exchanges, or returns are generally not available where:

• The tag has been correctly produced according to the order submitted.

• Incorrect information was supplied by the customer.

• There has been a change of mind.

• A different colour, material, style, size, or design is preferred after purchase.

• The tag shows normal wear and tear from use.

If an error has been made by PawTags NZ during production, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order so we can assess the issue and determine an appropriate resolution.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Pawtags NZ shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the purchase, use, misuse, loss, or failure of any product.

Customers acknowledge that pet tags are an identification aid only and do not guarantee the return, recovery, safety, or identification of a pet.

11. Social Media & Customer Photos

By voluntarily providing photos, videos, testimonials, reviews, or other content to Pawtags NZ, you grant us permission to use, reproduce, and share this content for marketing, promotional, advertising, and social media purposes without compensation.

If you wish for content not to be shared, please notify us in writing.

12. Privacy

Personal information collected by Pawtags NZ is used solely for processing orders, communicating with customers, and fulfilling our services.

We do not sell, rent, or knowingly share customer information with third parties except where required to fulfil an order or comply with legal obligations.

13. Changes to Terms & Conditions

Pawtags NZ reserves the right to update, modify, or replace these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

The Terms & Conditions in effect at the time an order is placed will apply to that order.

Pet Safety Disclaimer

While Pawtags NZ products are designed to assist with pet identification, customers acknowledge that no pet tag, attachment method, split ring, collar, or fastening system is completely fail-safe.

Pawtags NZ shall not be held responsible for lost pets, injuries, veterinary costs, damages, or any other losses arising from a tag becoming detached, damaged, worn, unreadable, or lost during use.

Customers are responsible for regularly inspecting tags, collars, and attachment hardware to ensure they remain secure and legible.
